MEET OUR PASTOR
Pastor Chad and his family came to First Baptist in June 2008. Chad and his wife Joann were married in 1996 and have 4 wonderful children: Nathaniel, Abigail, Noah and Rebekah. He has served several churches, all in Missouri, since 1992 beginning as a student minister and then becoming a Pastor in 2000. Both Chad and Joann grew up in Jefferson County Missouri, just south of St. Louis.
Pastor Chad is a graduate of Missouri Baptist University with a degree in Religion and is currently finishing his Master of Divinity degree through Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chad has a real passion for Preaching the Word of God. Chad has many hobbies, he enjoys fishing and hunting. He really enjoys Church History and reading theological books. But his real passion outside of family and ministry is Football. Chad has had the privilege of coaching Middle School and High School football at Grandview High School while pastoring in Dittmer, Mo. He says it was an amazing opportunity for ministering to students and their families, “a great chance to combine his two passions: preaching the Word and football.”
SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM PASTOR CHAD:
I just want to take a moment to personally thank you for stopping by our web page. I believe God has some really amazing things in store for us here at First Baptist Church. In the short time that I have been here, I have found this church to be full of people who are genuinely concerned about others. They are honestly interested in YOU.
We believe one thing here at FBC very strongly. We truly believe that God wants to have a deep, personal relationship with us, with YOU. As I sit here in my office writing this note, we are in the middle of the Christmas season. It is this season that confirms deeply God’s desire to love us and enter into a relationship with us. The Gospel of Matthew tells us in Chapter 1 as it describes the foretelling of his birth, that Jesus will be born and his name will be called “Immanuel” which quite literally means “God With Us”
Friend we do not serve a distant God who views us from a far. But he is right here with us. My favorite, or at least one of my favorite verses of Scripture is found in Zephaniah 3:17 and it says, “The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will quiet you with His love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” (NKJV emphasis mine)
Did you notice where God is in this verse, the Mighty God, the Victorious Warrior as it says in some translations is right here in our “midst” God loves you and wants to know you and wants you to know Him.
I would like to offer my personal invitation to join us for Worship this Sunday. Come and see why I believe God is up to something BIG here at FBC. I would love to meet you and spend some time getting to know you.
By His Grace and For His Glory,
